Robinson to Unveil New Aircraft Plans at Heli-Expo

By Staff Writer | February 23, 2007

Robinson Helicopter Co. will unveil plans for a new aircraft at next week’s Heli-Expo in Orlando, Fla. Frank Robinson, president and chairman of the Torrance, Calif.-based manufacturer wouldn’t say if the aircraft is the long-awaited, turbine-powered “R66.” “We have to kind of hold back momentarily,“ he told Rotor & Wing, adding that “I will be talking about a new model that we are working on in my press conference at the HAI. But it will be several years away; we figure anywhere from 3-5 years away before it will be on the market. Yes, it’s a new airplane.” For related news
