Sikorsky unveiled a dedicated search-and-rescue version of the S-92, which it developed in conjunction with CHC. That Canadian operator last year won a five-year SAR contract from the U.K. Maritime and Coastguard Agency, unseating Bristow after more than 20 years on that contract. The four SAR S-92s CHC has ordered will be used on that contract starting in July. (Sikorsky is to deliver the first to CHC next month.) CHC also plans to use AgustaWestland AW139s on the contract.
