Data Recorder Recovered From Sunken Black Hawk

By James T. McKenna | March 12, 2007

Australian officials report they have recovered the flight recorder from an Australian Army Black Hawk that crashed and sunk in nearly 10,000 ft. off the Fiji Islands late last year. A trooper was killed in the crash and the pilot died from injuries sustained in it, which occurred when the aircraft clipped the side of HMAS Kanimbla Nov. 29. The Kanimbla was part of an Australian task group on standby to evacuate Australian nationals from Fiji following a military coup. For related news
