LAPD Standardizes AS350B2s With Sagem Cockpit

By James T. McKenna | June 26, 2007

The Los Angeles Police Dept.’s Air Support Div. is seeking preliminary funding to upgrade its entire fleet of 14 Eurocopter AS350B2s with Sagem Integrated Cockpit Display Systems. The division made the decision last year to outfit several of their B2s with the system on a trial basis, then sought grant funding to upgrade and standardize the entire fleet. The system provides primary flight and multi-function displays with engine monitoring system (EMS) capabilities for AS350B2s without the Thales Vehicle Engine Monitoring Device. LAPD aircraft with the VEMD will be equipped with a primary flight display only.  For related news
