House Bill Proposes $2.4 Billion Plus for Sikorsky

Sikorsky Aircraft could receive more than $2.4 billion in the defense bill now before the U.S. House of Representatives appropriations committee, according to The Connecticut Post. The bill would provide $459.6 billion in total for the Pentagon in the fiscal year that begins Oct. 1. The Senate has yet to draft its bill. The House version includes $770 million for 52 Army UH-60 Black Hawks, $844.72 million for 27 Navy MH-60R Seahawks, $423.5 million for 18 Navy MH-60S Knighthawks, $407.2 million for research and development of the Marine Corps CH-53K, and $2.5 million for improved rotor-blade erosion protection. The bill also includes $2.2 billion for 26 Bell Helicopter/Boeing V-22 Ospreys. For related news
