AgustaWestland has signed a contract with the Turkish firm Tusas Aerospace Industries to provide local content in the production of Mangusta A129 attack helicopters for the Turkish army, according to the Turkish newspaper Today’s Zaman. Turkey picked the Mangusta in March after a procurement that dragged out over 12 years. But that nation is still working on a definitive procurement agreement with the company. Tusas would be the main contractor for local production of software for the aircraft’s mission computer.
