British Police Use UAV to Monitor Festival

Police in Staffordshire, England monitored a music festival attended by 90,000 people with a TV-equipped unmanned aerial vehicle Aug. 17-18, its first use of a UAV, the BBC reports. The rotary-wing aircraft was used particularly in the festival's car park to catch criminals attempting to break into vehicles. Chief Inspector Pete Owen said the police expected to use the technology at future big events. For related news
