Iraq Wants to Upgrade Fleet of Bell Helicopter UH-1s

Iraq has requested from the U.S. the sale of Bell Helicopter UH-1 Huey repair parts. If approved by the U.S. Congress, the sale would be worth as much as $150 million. The sale would be considered a foreign military sale and would include equipment and services. The sale would be a part of Iraq’s plan to upgrade the 16 Bell UH-1s to the UH-2 configuration which would include support equipment, publications and technical data and communications equipment.
