Frasca to Supply FTDs for Iraqi Pilot Training

By Jim McKenna | August 24, 2007

Frasca International will supply Bell Helicopter 206 and UH-1 flight training devices to help the U.S. Army train Iraqi air force pilots. Under a foreign military sales contract with the Army’s simulation, training, and instrumentation office, Frasca will provide two 206 and two Huey FTDs, as well as three for the Cessna 172 and two for the Cessna Caravan. All nine will use Frasca's TruVision 220 visual display system. The devices will precede the arrival of training aircraft in Iraq. “The Iraqis have not had a flight training school since the first Gulf War," said Mike Younce, Frasca’s project director.
