Helicopters Sent to Fight Greek Fires

Helicopters are being sent to Greece to help put out the devastating fires that are enveloping the country. Russia sent aircraft at the end of July and this past weekend sent two Mil Mi-8s as well as two heavy firefighting helicopters and a multifunctional plane. Germany is contributing three Sikorsky Aircraft CH-53s and Switzerland is sending four Eurocopter Super Pumas. One is expected to arrive today while the other three are scheduled to arrive on Tuesday. The Netherlands is sending two Eurocopter Cougars and Austria plans to send two Agusta Bell 212s, a transport plane and 20 firefighters. For related news
