FMV, the Swedish Defense Materiel Administration, has taken delivery of its second NHIndustries NH90. It took possession of its first at the Paris Air Show in June. The second NH90 accepted is the first built by Patria Aviation, the Halli, Finland-based defense and aerospace company. Sweden signed a contract in 2001 for 25 NH90s that included firm orders for 13 tactical troop transport/search and rescue aircraft and five anti-submarine warfare variants. Patria is to assemble 14 of the aircraft. The aircraft include a new tactical mission system developed by SAAB in cooperation with NHIndustries. Sweden is the launch customer for the High Cabin Version (HCV) of the NH90, which increases usable cabin height to 5.97 ft (1.82 m) from 5.18 ft (1.58 m). For related news
