Botswana to Launch Police Air Wing

Botswana Police Service has ordered three Eurocopter AS350B3s as the foundation of a new police air support unit. Two are to be delivered in December 2008, with the third due in August 2009. According to Eurocopter, they are to be equipped with a forward-looking infrared sensor, Spectrolab SX-16 night sun, rescue hoist, cargo swing, and external loud hailers. Eurocopter Southern Africa will provide type-rating training for six pilots and train three mechanics.     For related news
