Heard in the Hallways: 1st Cav Apache Crews Win DFCs

U.S. Army Lt. Gen. The four Apache pilots from the 1st Battalion, 227th Aviation Regiment in the 1st Cavalry Div.’s 1st Air Cavalry Brigade earned the medals for their actions against five gun trucks with heavy machine guns on May 31. The Distinguished Flying Cross is the U.S. military’s highest aviation-specific award.
