Sanford County, Fla. commissioners have told Air Methods to compete for helicopter emergency medical services there. The Orlando Sentinel says the county’s public-safety director had recommended an exclusive contract for Air Methods because of its size and resources. Omniflight has provided the service for more than 23 years through Orlando Regional Medical Center, the paper said. For related news
