CMC Electronics (www.cmcelectronics.ca) will be showcasing its leading technology aviation electronics at the Heli-Expo 2008 show. The company invites attendees to visit its booth and check out some of its latest product offerings, including the low-cost SureSight M-Series Enhanced Vision System (EVS) sensor and the PilotView Electronic Flight Bag EFB).
The SureSight M-Series EVS sensor is a cost-effective infrared-based safety tool for helicopter flight crews flying in darkness, smoke, smog or other poor visibility conditions. CMC’s ultra compact, low-cost M-Series EVS sensor improves situational awareness by providing pilots with a daytime-like image at night and in low-visibility situations for commercial, business/corporate and paramilitary operations. The M-Series sensor weighs 2.2 lb and measures 2.4" by 2.5" by 6" in length. A notable feature is the M-Series’ single Line Replaceable Unit that can be easily installed on a helicopter fuselage or strut or in the tail fin or nose of an aircraft.
CMC’s PilotView EFB improves productivity by enabling flight preparation with efficient access to up-to-date aircraft documentation, checklists and flight planning information. The PilotView EFB further increases situational awareness in-flight with en-route, approach charts, moving map display and graphical, real time weather information. The PilotView EFB is a compact, lightweight system with a display/processor unit and aircraft interface unit, which are easy to install in a variety of cockpits where space is at a premium.
