Egypt to Get Apache Longbow Simulator

Boeing will provide an AH-64D Apache Longbow simulator to the Egyptian air force under a $20 million contract. The deal also calls for Boeing to provide life-cycle support for the simualtor. The simulator, the Longbow Crew Trainer, is a full-mission, high-fidelity flight simulator. Boeing is to deliver it in July 2009. The contract also includes two years of spares, operator and maintainer training, one year of contractor-logistics support and an option for an additional year of contractor-logistics support to be exercised at a later date.
