Besides customizing, maintenance, and systems integrations services, United Rotorcraft Solutions prepares helicopters for shipment locally and overseas.

United Rotorcraft Solutions was recently contracted to modify, disassemble, and prepare a Bell Helicopter 412 for shipment to Australia.

The Decatur, Texas company performed modifications that included removal of the EMS interior, an emergency float system, and air conditioning and installation of a refurbished utility interior, an Onboard Systems cargo hook, satellite phone, SX16 Nightsun, HF radio, Fast Bucket control, Dart skids, and steps and an Artex ELT.

The 412 was then disassembled, crated and shrink-wrapped for shipment. United Rotorcraft managed all the transportation details to insure the aircraft’s secure arrival in Australia. This was the fifth 412 it has completed and shipped to Australia in the past 10 months for Australia Helicopters and Tempest Aviation Group.
