The South Korean government has ordered another AgustaWestland AW139 for firefighting and utility work. It would be the third of the medium twins to operate in that nation. The aircraft is to be operated by the Gangwon Firefighting Dept. and will be equipped with a Bambi bucket, a belly water tank, a rescue hoist, and emergency medical services provisions. Its cabin will be configured to carry 12 passengers and separately two VIPs. The order was secured with the support of AgustaWestland’s local representative, United Industries International.
