Brazil, France Sign Super Cougar Pact

By James T. McKenna | July 1, 2008

Brazil says on June 30 it signed the deal, which calls for Eurocopter's Helibras subsidiary to build the helicopters for that nation's military at its plant in Minas Gerais state. Eurocopter is to invest $300-400 million on plant expansion. The aircraft, the first of which is to be delivered in 2010, will be used to support protection of natural resources in the Amazon and in offshore oil and gas fields. For related news
