Harry Wants to Pilot Helos

By Staff Writer | October 28, 2008

Prince Harry, son of Prince Charles of Wales and the late Princess Diana, has requested to become a helicopter pilot in the British army. The Prince, who received his commission in April of 2006, is currently a lieutenant assigned to the Household Cavalry Regiment and spent two months as a forward air controller while deployed to Afghanistan earlier this year. If accepted, he would most likely be assigned to an Apache, a Lynx or a Gazelle unit. His older brother, Prince William, became an RAF helicopter pilot earlier this year. For related news
