AgustaWesland was awarded a contract by the European Defence Agency to conduct a six-month helicopter tactics program implementation study that will, among other things, identify best practices learned from operational war theaters.

SRT Helicopters won a contract to provide advanced aerial search and rescue training to the Chinese Ministry of Transport’s Rescue & Salvage Bureau.

Turbomeca signed contacts with Russian Helicopters/Kamov and with Helicopter Services Company for the development and serial engine production of the Arrius 2G1 to be installed on the Ka-226T, the Russian twin-engine helicopter with counter-rotating rotors.

Honeywell’s LTS101-700D-2 engine was selected by Changhe Aircraft Industries of Jingdezhen, China, to power the Z-11 helicopter.

Sandel Avionics announced that it has received a multiple-unit order for its new ST3400H Helicopter Terrain Awareness and Warning System (HTAWS) from Metro Aviation. This contract represents the first order for the ST3400H which was introduced at this year’s Heli-Expo.

Rolls-Royce and Australian Aerospace signed a five-year contract to provide through-life support for the Australian Army’s new fleet of MRH90s.

Bell-Boeing was awarded a $24.5-million contract to support the Naval Rotary Wing Aircraft Test Squadron on- and off-site flight test management, flight test engineering, design engineering, and related efforts for flight and ground testing of the MV-22 tiltrotor.
