Northrop, Bell Team on Fire-X UAS

Bell Helicopter and Northrop Grumman are partnering to develop Fire-X, a medium-range unmanned aerial system (UAS) helicopter. The Fire-X program will integrate unmanned architecture from the U.S. Navy’s MQ-8B Fire Scout with the Bell 407. The companies anticipate first flight of Fire-X by the end of this year, with demonstrations to the U.S. Navy in 2011.
