By Staff Writer | July 13, 2010

AgustaWestland and Thales are planning to introduce an upgraded Airborne Surveillance and Control (ASaC) capability for the AW101. The companies are teaming on a bid to replace the UK Ministry of Defence’s Sea King Mk7 ASaC fleet, which is scheduled for retirement in 2016. The new ASaC functions are built on the Mk7 Cerberus mission system and Searchwater 2000 radar.
