Northrop Grumman has finished a three-month Operational Evaluation (OPEVAL) of its Integrated Avionics System (IAS) on the U.S. Marines Corps Bell AH-1Z Cobra. Northrop Grumman is part of a Bell-led team for the Marines’ H-1 Upgrade program, which also includes Lockheed Martin and Thales. The program, which involves a total of 189 new and remanufactured AH-1Zs, seeks to replace existing AH-1Ws with the updated version.
