There are two ways to approach today’s economy: wait for someone to call or take the initiative yourself. According to Brian Wilson, Banyan Air Services’ director of avionics, the company has “decided to become more aggressive” in recent months approaching the rotorcraft market. The efforts have already paid off. The company recently completed work on an AgustaWestland AW109, Eurocopter AS350 and Sikorsky S-76. While most of the work to the Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport (FXE)-based facility comes from southern Florida, Banyan has earned FAA and EASA repair station designations for Argentina, Brazil, Bermuda, and Venezuela.
