Russian Helos Active in Brazil

UIC Oboronprom subsidiary Russian Helicopters has secured various contracts with operators based in Brazil. Qualy Group has inked a long-term cooperation agreement for the delivery of up to 150 Mil Mi-34C1s through 2023. Maintenance, logistics and training support will be located in Brazil under the arrangement. Qualy subsidiary Atlas Taxi Aereo has agreed to establish an Mi-171A1 support center in Brazil. In addition, Russian Helicopters has partnered with Helipark Taxi Aereo to launch a support center for the Kamov Ka-32A11BC. Helipark signed an order for a multi-role Ka-32A11BC in March. Delivery is projected to occur during 2011, following certification from Brazil’s aviation authority.
