The AH-64 Apaches of 8th Attack Reconnaissance Battalion, 229th Aviation Regiment, an Army Reserve unit stationed in Camp Taji, Iraq, features something unique—a family of attack pilots. Capt. Dennis McNamara pilots Apaches with his daughter, Capt. Elizabeth McNamara and son CWO2 Brendon McNamara. The McNamaras and the Flying Tigers are on a yearlong deployment in Iraq with the 40th Combat Aviation Brigade.
