Chromalloy has hired Dennis Orzel as vice president and general manager. Orzel will lead Chromalloy technology development and repair sites in the U.S. and UK. Prior to his current role, Orzel formerly served as chief operating officer at PAS Technologies and general manager of Pratt & Whitney’s Turbine Module Center in East Hartford, Conn.

Eagle Eye Solutions founder Matthew Johnson has received accreditation as a master certificated flight instructor for helicopters from Master Instructors. Johnson is an air medical pilot with Air Evac Lifeteam at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Intl Airport (CVG) and is only is the fifth aviation educator to attain the new Master CFI-helicopter classification.

Lt. Gen. Dick Applegate (Ret.) is the new chairman of Elbit Systems UK. His appointment follows a long career with the British Army as Chief of Materiel (Land) in Defense Equipment and Support and as a member of the Army board. Applegate will be responsible for creating a growth strategy for Elbit in the UK.


Santa Rosa, Calif.-based Reach Air Medical Services has appointed D. Brian Karr as chief financial officer. He will oversee all finance, treasury, funding and accounting functions. Karr was previously CFO of Magellan Health Services of Arizona, and has served as finance director for the TriZetto Group.

Boeing and has promoted Steve Morrow to president and CEO of its Insitu subsidiary. Morrow takes over for former CEO Steve Sliwa, who retired in April. Morrow was previously a director of Boeing’s stand-off strike unit. As Insitu president and CEO, Morrow will be based out of the Columbia River Gorge area in the Pacific Northwest.
