By Staff Writer | June 6, 2011

Englewood, Colo.-based Air Methods Corp. has reached an agreement to purchase Air Holdings, parent company of Omniflight Helicopters. With headquarters in Addison, Texas, Omniflight has a fleet of approximately 100 helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft at 75 bases in 18 states. The merger will increase the reach of Air Methods, which is already the largest HEMS operator in the U.S. based on fleet size, revenues and hours flown. The $200 million agreement is scheduled to close in July following regulatory approvals.
