Thailand Prepares for First MH-60S

By Staff Writer | September 1, 2011

Sikorsky has completed its first international delivery of the MH-60 variant. The Royal Thai Navy purchased the two MH-60S Seahawks through the U.S. government’s foreign military sales program. The helicopters will add to the Thai Navy’s existing Sikorsky fleet of six S-70B Seahawks and six maritime-modified S-76Bs. The Thai MH-60s will be used for utility and search and rescue missions. The U.S. Navy will provide pilot and maintenance training, as well as logistical support.
