AgustaWestland and Mitsui Bussan Aerospace have received an order for three AW139s from the Japan National Police Agency. Tokyo Metropolitan Police, Nagaono Police and Hokkaido Police will use the three helicopters in multiple roles, with entry into service projected for spring 2013. The helicopters will come equipped with a number of features, including Cineflex camera, satellite-based augmentation system (SBAS), searchlight, TCAS, cargo hook, weather radar, EGPWS, rescue hoist, loudspeaker and snow pads.
