Gama Engineering (Stand 1619), a Gama Group company that is making its public debut during Helitech, has secured an agreement to distribute Cobham’s HeliSAS autopilot and stability augmentation system. The new division—which came together after Gama Group’s Lees Avionics acquired Mann Aviation Group Engineering—is based at Fairoaks Airport, near Heathrow.

The Engineering subsidiary has also partnered with Garmin to offer the G500H electronic flight instrument system (EFIS) to European operators. Designed for VFR Part 27 helicopters, the G500H is available for several models, including the Bell 206 and 407, and Eurocopter AS350B2/B3 and EC130B.

Gama Engineering is a dealer for many equipment suppliers, including Aircell, DPI Labs, Flight Display Systems, Garmin, Honeywell, L-3, Rockwell Collins and Universal. HeliSAS is available for retrofit on several types, including the Bell 206B/L and 407, and Eurocopter AS350.
