Among the participants in the first China Helicopter Exposition was Eurocopter, which brought three variants to the show—the AS350B3, EC135 and EC225. The manufacturer claims to have a 40 percent stake in China’s rotorcraft market, with a total of around 120 helicopters operating in the country.
As part of security for the World Economic Forum in China, the Dalian Municipal Public Security Bureau has received the first of two EC155s for law enforcement and personnel transport. Eurocopter delivered the EC155 to the northeast China-based bureau in advance of the “Summer Davos” meeting, which took place in September. It focused on VIP transport and patrol missions for the event. The second EC155 is scheduled for handover in late 2012.
