The Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF) has incorporated a new AgustaWestland AW109 simulator into its training portfolio. The sim training will prepare pilots for flying NH90s and Kaman SH-2Gs. AgustaWestland has also provided the New Zealand Defence Force (NZDF) with a virtual interactive procedure trainer, a computer-based system that utilizes touch-screens for specific training on individual and integrated systems. Both the simulator and the interactive trainer are part of a new flight simulator complex at RNZAF Base Ohakea.
