Representatives from the Royal Malaysian Air Force received a first-hand look at its initial Eurocopter EC725 during this week’s LIMA Exhibition. Eurocopter provided a live video feed to the Langkawi, Malaysia-based show from its manufacturing plant in Marignane, France. The helicopter, part of a 2010 agreement that involves a dozen EC725s, is intended for search and rescue (SAR) and utility operations. Eurocopter, which currently has eight Malaysian EC725s in various stages of production, plans to start deliveries in 2012 and run through early 2014.
