Eurocopter has handed over the first two AS350B2 Ecureuils that are part of a nine-helicopter order to the Ecuadorian Armed Forces. The Armed Forces flies a fleet of Eurocopter variants, including two Ecureuil AS350Bs, two A315B Lamas, two SA316 Alouettes, four AS332 Super Pumas and 19 SA342 Gazelles. The new helicopters will replace the Lamas and act as reconnaissance and training aircraft.
