Russian Helicopters has completed the first demonstration flight of the Kazan Ansat with a new hydro-mechanical flight control system for civil use. This is the second Ansat airframe Russian Helicopters subsidiary Kazan has developed for testing, with the other Ansat dedicated to ground testing. Kazan is pursuing type certification for the Anast’s hydro-mechanical flight system in order to transport passengers. Certification is expected during the second half of 2012.
