During a ceremony on Friday, Boeing delivered the 100th CH-47F Chinook to the U.S. Army from its modification center in Millville, N.J. Rep. Frank LoBiondo (R-NJ) noted that the milestone was reached around two years after the opening of the facility in February 2010. Boeing has a five-year lease with the Delaware River & Bay Authority at Millville Municipal Airport (MIV). After the Chinooks depart the Boeing production line in Philadelphia, they go to Millville for structural and electrical modifications to the CH-47F airframe and avionics. Boeing also supports the variant around the globe with two New Equipment Training teams, made up of CH-47F technicians and maintenance personnel.
