EASA Grants JTI Fuel Approval for R44

Nashua, N.H.-based JTI Air Holdings has received certification from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) to use its automotive gasoline to fuel Robinson R44s. JTI’s European representative, Joop van Weele of Holland will sell the supplemental type certificates (STC) for operators and pilots to use the alternative fuel. The automotive fuel is a replacement for leaded helicopter fuel, which is discontinued due to environmental concerns.
