The U.S. Marine Corps has contracted Bell-Boeing to provide seven V-22 Block C containerized flight training devices (FTDs). The $74-million contract also covers support and spares for the FTDs. USMC projects that the work will run through October 2016. In a separate agreement, Bell-Boeing’s Joint Project Office has won an $8-million U.S. Navy extension of an existing contract covering aircraft painting, logistics support and recurring engineering related to the production of seven Lot 15 and seven Lot 16 MV-22s that feature HMX-1 paint schemes. Completion of the Navy MV-22s is scheduled for November 2014.
