Hawker Pacific Aerospace, the Middle East representative for Bell Helicopters, has announced orders for seven Bell 412EPs from Abu Dhabi Aviation (ADA), one of the oldest and largest rotary and fixed-wing operators in the region. Alan Parsons, vice president of aircraft sales for Hawker Pacific, cited ADA as “one of the region’s most prestigious operators, with over 800,000 hours on Bell products.”
Parsons said that Bell helicopters sales “generally remain buoyant throughout the region,” with Falcon Aviation, another large Bell operator, being “extremely successful in bringing (the 412) to the forefront of offshore operations in the UAE.” The region is expected to be “a continuing expanding market that will be buoyed by the future introduction the Bell 525R, which is already creating a ‘buzz’ from our customers.” Parsons said that the success of meeting with “existing and potential customers” and being able to “showcase our extensive range of product offerings and services” at the 2010 Helishow, and particularly interest in the 429, convinced them to “take maximum advantage with this year’s Helishow by displaying the Bell 429 on the static line and let customers touch and see the aircraft.”
The 429 will be available for demonstration flights to selected operators during the show, as well as in the UAE & Oman throughout November and December. The 429 will also be shown at the Middle East Business Aviation (MEBA) show being held December 11-13 at Dubai’s new Al Maktoum International Airport.
