The U.S. Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division has issued a $14.4-million contract to Sikorsky Support Services related to H-53 and H-60 support. The agreement, which runs through October 2015, covers contractor field services (CFS) for the helicopters and associated systems, including airframe, electrical and logistics technical reps, onsite and offsite proficiency training, and assistance with resolving complex technical problems. Under the deal, 22 percent of the work will take place at Sikorsky’s Norfolk, Va., with 11 percent each at Miramar and North Island, Calif., Maguire AFB, N.J., and Cherry Point and New River, N.C.; six percent each in Atsugi and Futenma, Japan; and 5.5 percent in Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii.
