The U.S. Naval Air Systems Command has issued an $83.7-million contract to Indianapolis-based Rolls-Royce for 38 AE1107C engines, 34 of which will be used for Navy MV-22s and four of which on Air Force CV-22s. The agreement calls for work on the Bell-Boeing tiltrotors to take place in Indianapolis, with completion projected for December 2014. The arrangement combines funding from USMC ($74.9 million) and USAF ($8.8 million).
