The U.S. Army’s Flight School XXI program has gone over 150,000 hours using L-3 Link Simulation & Training’s Operational Flight Trainers (OFTs) and Reconfigurable Collective Training Devices (RCTDs). L-3 Link currently has 31 rotorcraft training devices at the Flight School XXI facility in Daleville, Ala. and the Aviation Warfighting Simulation Center (AWSC) at Fort Rucker. Four more OFTs will join the program in Daleville later this year. The OFTs apply to the Bell OH-58D, Boeing CH-47D/F and Sikorsky UH-60A/L/M platforms. There are a total of 18 RCTDs based at Fort Rucker that can accommodate OH-58D, Boeing AH-64A/D, CH-47D and UH-60A/L configurations.
