Avincis Group and Eurocopter formalized a global framework agreement during Heli-Expo last week. The agreement includes the purchase of 10 EC145 T2s for emergency medical service (EMS) operators based in the UK and Western Europe. Eurocopter will provide aftermarket support and training for the new helicopters, which are scheduled for delivery to Avincis’ EMS customers in 2014. The agreement "marks the latest step in a four-decade relationship with the Avincis Group," noted Eurocopter CEO Lutz Bertling in a statement. "As a result, the EC145 T2’s operational capabilities will be available to an even broader segment of the global EMS community."
