Eurocopter’s parent organization, European Aeronautic Defense and Space Co. (EADS), is reorganizing its corporate structure by basing a single operational headquarters in Toulouse, France.
Effective April 1, 2013, and expected to be fully operational in September, the new headquarters will be home to 500 positions including those integrated between EADS and Airbus such as human resources and finance. Positions previously in Paris and Munich will be transferred to Toulouse, although some functions will remain.
The reorganization represents “a key milestone to further integrating EADS,” said CEO Tom Enders. EADS comprises Airbus, Astrium, Cassidian and Eurocopter, generating revenues of €56.5 billion (approximately $72.2 billion).
