$50 Million Heads to Bell for Venom, Viper Components

Bell Helicopter has obtained a $50.6-million contract from the U.S. Naval Air Systems Command to supply additional long lead parts and components for the U.S. Marine Corps’ Lot 11 new build UH-1Ys and AH-1Zs. The agreement, which runs through September 2014, covers 15 UH-1Ys and 10 AH-1Zs. Three-fifths of the work will take place in Fort Worth, with the other 40 percent carried out in Amarillo, Texas.
