Brazilian helicopter operator Atlas Taxi Aereo has taken delivery of a Mil Mi-171A1 from Russian Helicopters. Atlas Taxi Aereo’s new helicopter will be the first Mi-171A1 to feature the T-HUMS onboard health and monitoring system, which automatically operates a wide range of units and components in real time, according to Russian Helicopters. Petrobras, a Brazilian oil company, will use the helicopter to support drilling work in Brazil’s rain forests. The Mi-171A1 has flown more than 120 hours per month within intense operating conditions, carrying up to 600 tons of cargo.
