The Tiger program is a multinational cooperation between the defense ministries of France, Germany and Spain, allowing companies from each country to participate in the complete helicopter life cycle of the production of several variants of the six-ton category Tiger. The rotorcraft are being used for reconnaissance, escort, and air-to-ground combat missions.
Delivery to the Spanish Army for the HAD/E-5002 is planned of the end of 2013. Currently there are 93 Tiger helicopters in service, and the Tiger program has 206 combined orders between German, France, Australia and Spain.
