Cobham to Overhaul Apache Nitrogen Inerting Units

By Staff Writer | August 2, 2013

The U.S. Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) has issued a contract to Cobham to upgrade the nitrogen inerting units (NIUs) on the Boeing AH-64 Apache fleet. The agreement is valued at up to $7.1 million. Upgrades will take place starting later this year at the Cobham Life Support facility in Davenport, Iowa. The deal adds to a five-year, $15-million IDIQ contract Cobham obtained in 2012 related to U.S. Army AH-64 NIUs worth around $15 million.
